Up his R dmg/give it a better proc rate for items. They could also give back I-frames on his roll, make it not cancel sprint and also give it a longer distance. With all this being said, what I think would make him better is if his RMB at least got bumped up to 260 or given some sort of targeting/trail that would make it actually useful. Over half of the runs with him feel like you're just struggling the entire way doing so little dps that you take extra long to clear zones and get outscaled. You can't just make a character extremely underpowered like this. The only reason I see as to why he's much weaker than the rest is because he's the first character you get in the game, though I don't think he should be gimped just because of this. This on top of the fact that forcing a character to hope rng gives him a certain item to become viable is completely dumb. completely forgetting that if you were to stack those same items on any other character they would not only benefit more, but also out dps you. Most of the arguments I've seen on why commando isn't literal trash is that once you stack a couple of items like syringes/gasolines he becomes viable. I remember playing with this guy who took glass on Multi and still had more hp than me even after having 2 infusions. His Hp is also lacking heavily, at lvl 20 he has around 500-600 which is half of Multi-t's. meaning all he really has going for him in his kit is auto attacks in which even then he's lacking in dmg. Next is his R, Suppressed fire, which does 10% more base dmg than his autos and therefore is only really useful as a stun. This kind of pigeon holes it as more of a repositioning ability which may I remind you, no longer has I-frames unlike the original game. Next we should talk about how a 2 cm roll isn't anywhere as good as an instant blink, commando's roll feels negligible as a movement speed ability seeing as how it cancels sprint meaning if you'd ran with any speed item you'd often have gone further. huntress's RMB not only reliably does aoe via bounces but also does 260 BASE with 10% extra per bounce which scales, unlike commando's. Everyone of them has their own distinct feel to/has something going for them except for commando, which just feels like a discount Huntress.ĭouble round 90% of the time is useless considering you're usually only using it on a single target since it's balanced around a 2d environment not accounting for a y axis. Imo he feels like a way weaker version of huntress, probably even one of the weakest characters, if not the weakest character in the game currently, which honestly shows seeing as how I'm not seeing a single commando in the prismatic trials. Let me preface this by saying I have around 40hrs of solely commando so I'm not coming out of nowhere by saying this. ![]()
